Chief Executive – Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre – North West England

At the Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre, we’re dedicated to re-training, re-homing and protecting the welfare of ex-racehorses. We’re now looking for a Chief Executive to lead the development and execution of our long-term strategies.

As Chief Executive, you’ll be responsible for all day-to-day management decisions – from identifying new sources of income, to ensuring the centre is appropriately organised and staffed.

Utilising your excellent leadership and communication skills, you’ll be the centre’s figurehead – communicating the vision of the charity to the racing and leisure/sport horse industry, the media and other stakeholders. You’ll also be the direct liaison between the Board of Trustees and the centre’s management, so you’ll take the lead in ensuring the Trustees have the information required to make appropriate judgements.

The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to develop and implement strategy, and previous experience in increasing revenues for a charity, including legacies. You’ll also have strong management skills, commercial acumen, and a passion for horse welfare.
