The Governors of The Sele School are seeking to appoint an inspirational headteacher as we embark on a new era, building on our successes and achievements whilst maintaining our core values – ‘Belief in Everyone – Achievement for All – Excellence is our Goal’

We are a small, caring, welcoming school where every child is known and treated as an individual. We are at the heart of our community, situated in beautiful Hertford, on the fringe of open countryside. Ofsted graded the school as ‘Good’ in every category (2012).

As an ambitious and supportive governing body, we wish to maintain the school’s progressive, outward-looking approach to enable all of our students to achieve their full potential and reinforce our role within the wider community. We take pride in the emphasis we place on academic excellence whilst at the same time the social, emotional, spiritual, cultural, creative and physical development of our students is at the core of our ethos.

strategically lead and support our dedicated staff and students through an exciting new phase of expansion
be an effective communicator who will demonstrate clarity and purpose to all stakeholders
motivate staff and students
understand the importance of managing resources effectively
create and innovate
respond positively to the challenges that headship brings.
