The Boswells School is looking to appoint a Head of our Technology Faculty. The role involves working with our Technology Staff to ensure an excellent curriculum provision for our students in Technology as well as having an oversight of STEM provision across the school. The successful candidate will also be expected to deliver high quality Technology and Product Design lessons as well as developing an already strong Technology faculty team.
You will be joining a school with enthusiastic and dedicated leaders at senior and middle leadership levels and a commitment to the professional development of staff. Technology is a fundamental element of our curriculum for all students and the role will allow you to help shape the strategic direction of the Technology Faculty.
The Boswells School is an 11-18, very successful, popular and oversubscribed school in the Springfield area of Chelmsford, Essex. We have achieved record GCSE results for the school in the last 2 years with 67% of our students achieving 5A*-C including English and Mathematics this year. In Technology where student numbers continue to grow results have a positive trend and 63% of our students achieved a grade A*-C at GCSE this year. In Art and Design, A*-C grades were 93% and a third of all entries gained an A grade. A Level provision across all subjects is thriving with results well above both Essex and National averages.
