Club and Coach Support Officer
Home based covering North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire
Salary £24,000 – £30,000

England Athletics (EA) develops and promotes athletics and running across the whole of the country.
EA has made significant progress in key areas of work, providing consistent local services and facilitating support to deliver their national strategy priorities and to meet the needs of the 2.2m people who run weekly across the nation, 1,500 member bodies and 140,000 registered club athletes.

We are currently recruiting for a Club and Coach Support Officer (CCSO) post to cover North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire as part of the North Area team.

The CCSO role involves working as part of a team to provide high quality support to athletics clubs and coaches in their local area as well as driving England Athletics recreational offer.
Your role will be to effectively implement the Local Coach Development Programme to raise standards in coaching, support club development work in general to increase standards in athletics and you will also play a key role in driving the recreational offer locally, enabling an increase in running participation.

The successful candidate will have detailed knowledge and experience of the voluntary sports club sector. Good coaching knowledge or evidence of ability and willingness to acquire coaching knowledge is essential. A working knowledge of increasing participation is crucial, and candidates should either be educated to degree level or have evidence of continuing professional development throughout their career.

An understanding of athletics and/or recreational running is desirable, although not essential.

All activities delivered must also be inclusive of disability athletics and therefore an inclusive approach to working is essential.

Excellent Microsoft Office Skills are essential, and candidates must either be educated to degree level (or equivalent) or have evidence of continuing professional development.
