Junior Lighting Designer – Light IQ – London

Due to our successful and continuous workload, Light IQ require a new junior lighting designer. The role will be to work alongside and support senior staff and directors on all projects, gaining a sound practical and theoretical knowledge of lighting design. The junior designer will also provide CAD support to the design team and will learn through on-site practical experience as well as on-going training the basics of lighting design products and control systems. The ideal candidate will be self motivated and a cooperative team player.

This role is suitable for someone looking for a career in lighting design. The candidate must have a passion for lighting as well as the following skills and experience:

six months -one years’ experience in the lighting industry
six months -one year working with AutoCad
competent in Photoshop
strong IT skills, including full proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
a basic knowledge of Dialux is ideal but not essential
a relevant academic background at degree level (i.e. architecture, interior design, product design)
fluent in English language (written and oral)
full UK Work Permit and National Insurance Number (for applicants outside the EC)
a keen interest in architecture and interior design
