About us:

Haberdashery is a London-based design consultancy, creating landmark lighting sculptures, innovative products and cutting edge R+D for ambitious property developers, interior designers, architects, brands and institutions around the world.

The responsibility of a junior visualiser is to effectively translate sketches and ideas into high quality 3D visuals with real world parameters. You will need to work effectively in a team composed of senior, mid and junior designers. Taking direction from the senior team members you will have the opportunity to inform the direction of the design and the implications of alternatives through your visualisations.

We are designers and manufacturers, this is an opportunity for you to see the visuals you will be helping to create become finished products, you will be a part of an essential step in our process from client brief to manufacture.

Required experience/technical requirements – these should be demonstrated in your portfolio:

One to three years experience in the following areas:

work experience as a professional visualiser
advanced 3D modelling skills
excellent 3D rendering skills,
good Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator etc)
familiarity working with content from AutoCAD and Solidworks, i.e. technical DWGs and 3D CAD geometry
good working knowledge of 3D Studio Max and V-RAY
working knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper and Sketchup

Knowledge of the following would be a bonus:

using 3D modelling and rendering techniques to output diagrammatic images such as exploded axons, circulation diagrams, sectional perspectives, etc
a good eye for visual composition and incorporating entourage into the visuals producing fly-through animations
knowledge and understanding of photographic techniques
experience in architectural visualisation

Key responsibilities will include:

General:

ability to take direction and to interpret client briefs
clear and professional written and oral communication
create high quality visualisations and presentation graphics
model, render and post-produce CGI stills and occasional animations

Project management:

manage your time so your work is delivered on schedule and within time constraints
manage your tasks thoroughly and effectively

If you are successful in reaching the second stage of the interview process you will be required to create a standardised visualisation within a given time-frame.

You must be entitled to work in the UK. Salary dependent on experience.

Immediate start or short notice period preferred. This post is offered initially as a six-month contract with a possibility to extend to full employment
