Solar is rapidly emerging as a disruptive alternative energy source, with the potential to change the way we produce and consume electricity. Solar Media is a fast-growing, London-based international publishing and events company specialising in all aspects of solar energy. We have an extensive portfolio of print and online publications providing breaking news and in-depth analysis to the global and UK solar industries, plus a growing number of conferences and exhibitions at home and abroad, including West Africa, Southeast Asia and America.
As the global solar market booms, we are looking for a skilled all-round B2B journalist to lead our international coverage online and in print. These responsibilities will require a strong suite of core journalistic skills in news editing and reporting, feature writing, and commissioning and copy editing, as well as a desire to set the agenda through the generation of exclusive content. You will have strong leadership skills, able to take responsibility for your own workload, but also to manage and mentor other team members. Familiarity with writing on technical and/or policy-related topics would be desirable, but more important are accuracy and clarity, the willingness to get to grips with a fast-moving and complex topic and, above all, a desire to be first to the big story.
This is a big role that would suit an ambitious senior reporter or section editor from a business, politics or technology background looking to take the next step up and play a central role in a key part of our operation.
