Head of Communications – Maternity Cover – Broadway Malyan – London, United Kingdom

Reporting directly to the chairman, and with a responsibility for a copywriter/marketing and communications assistant and four graphic designers, this demanding role covers the management of a wide range of communications and marketing activity across the practice. The role also requires working closely with the head of group PR and regionally based marketing co-ordinators.

Key tasks include:

Management of all corporate marketing collateral:

project management, editing and production of corporate practice and sector brochures, corporate
portfolio documents, and all project sheet material
ongoing management of corporate powerpoint and showreel presentations
oversight of corporate advertising and promotional material produced for exhibitions and conferences across the practice
management and development of corporate websites

Managing the marketing information infrastructure:

effective management of the OpenAsset database for storage of images and project sheets across the practice, including close liaison with developers Axomic for ongoing development and training
ensuring compliance of marketing communications processes and procedures across the practice, including co-ordination of the global ‘OpenAsset Superuser’ team
ongoing development/maintenance of the practice’s business management system, including proposed CRM system

Branding:

ongoing development and safeguarding of the visual brand, including development and maintenance of brand guidelines and driving consistency in brand application across all visual communications channels

Professional photography:

monitoring of professional photography requirements and standards across the practice, including providing advice on approved suppliers, the briefing process, copyright licensing and costings

Budgeting/planning:

ownership and planning of group communications budget

Essential experience:

confident individual with extensive marketing and communications experience
a proven track record within the architecture and built environment sector
excellent communication, writing and editing skills for print and digital media
results oriented and detail focused
first-class organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and delegate effectively and to work to tight deadlines
strong management skills and the ability to communicate/influence at all levels
