Business Analyst – Spartan Race UK

Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of financial management, business strategy, compliance and event planning. The role will work closely with the Director of Race Operations, Marketing Manager and Customer Service and Registration Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
– assist with the management of cost control across all departments and ensure regular and accurate reporting is in place
– manage and enhance all revenue streams across the business, ensuring regular reporting and targets are in place – highlight commercial priorities and communicate these accordingly to focus attention appropriately
– lead on identifying and researching additional revenue streams from incremental revenue to extensions to the brand
– collate, cleanse and analyse data in order to recognise trends and forecast
– draw conclusions from data analysis, report logically and concisely and link the outcomes directly to optimising business strategy and performance
– complete bookkeeping tasks on an ad hoc basis and oversee the use of a cloud based accountancy platform
– setup, maintain and develop systems and processes necessary to support the day-to-day activities of the business
– liaise with the business’ accountants to prepare monthly management accounts and oversee cash flow
– work with the Director of Race Operations to effectively co-ordinate resources so that all project elements are delivered to acceptable standards on time, to budget and meet the required specification
– plan and deliver festival-related revenue streams such as merchandise, product stalls and food and beverage vendors
– lead on post-event evaluation ensuring the business and core product continue to improve and the outcomes are structured and communicated thoroughly
– liaise across the departments to plan, organise and place procurement orders and make certain that procurement items are delivered on time and to budget
– assist with contractual negotiations and analyse the terms to optimise commercial value to the business
– assist with the management of customer service and registration enquiries via the ZenDesk and Chronotrack platforms
– assist with race day operations within the festival area with a specific focus on the dynamic registration process
