About You
You will be qualified to a minimum of City and Guilds Level 2 in Refrigeration or equivalent with 2 years of experience in the refrigeration equipment industry. Experienced in fault finding and repair of refrigeration and AC equipment with a good level of brazing experience. You’ll be a confident and accountable trades specialist, able to work on your own initiative and work collectively with your colleagues to ensure a co-operative team working environment. As our work is tracked logged and updated digitally you must be computer and mobile devices literate.

In addition
to this you will also meet the below required skill standards:
FGAS certified
Co2 Safe handling certified
Flammable refrigerants trained
Air conditioning splits and VRV experience
Plumbing knowledge in line with the requirements for a refrigeration engineer
BMS knowledge
Large water chillers operational knowledge
Electrical and controls awareness and competency
CO2 experience
Refrigeration central pack experience

What to expect
Working as part of a team under the Refrigeration Manager to Maintain and Repair Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems including associated mechanical and electrical plant & controls within the Harrods buildings. As a Refrigeration technician you will carry out the day to day planned maintenance programme and attend reactive calls to promptly report any issues or problems.

You will provide a handover to the oncoming shift in writing or in person to ensure continuity of service on every shift and support with ad hoc overtime to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
You will check chiller availability at the start of the day shift and provide confirmation as such by way of email to the refrigeration manager and the BMS team. You will check all refrigeration assets are available and to escalate any non-working assets that will affect trading. As a subject matter expert, you will ensure that all work is in line with industry best practice adhering to relevant Health and Safety Regulations and any other legal requirements including BS378.
