Hoban Design are an award-winning boutique architectural practice based in Wimbledon. The practice works exclusively on high-end private residential projects throughout south west and central London.
We are offering a unique opportunity to an enthusiastic Part-II architectural assistant to join our design team. The successful candidate will be immediately working on a flagship project, a large, contemporary designed and cutting edge new build home for a private client, his family and vast contemporary art collection. The role includes working across all aspects and workstages of the project from concept design, interiors, construction drawings and details, site meetings and inspections and client presentations.
This is a role for a talented Part-II to develop and gain invaluable experience in all elements of the construction process on what will be an award-winning home of exemplar quality. Not just an ideal Part-III case study project, but also potentially a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with top end specialists and materials across the board.
What you will be doing:
concept design and development into working drawings
construction drawing packages
site inspections and design team meetings
client and interior design meetings
cost analysis
liaising directly with the main contractor, sub-contractors and suppliers
researching specialist finishes and materials
What we need from you:
at least one year UK work experience
design flair and enthusiasm for cutting edge residential design
minimum one year Vectorworks experience
working knowledge of UK planning, building and CDM regulations
excellent verbal and written communication skills
