Non-Executive Director – Derbyshire County Cricket Club
Derbyshire County Cricket Club are one of the 18 Professional County Cricket Clubs in England and Wales. Formed in 1870, the Club has around 1000 members and employs around 50 staff. It manages an overall budget of around £5m.
The Club has recently undergone some Governance changes and we currently have vacancies for two Non-Executive Directors on our Board, for a start date of 1st April 2021. We are looking for individuals who can complement the existing elected Board of Directors. You should have a background and experience in a senior role. In addition, you’ll have specialist skills and
knowledge in relation to one or more of the following areas:
• Catering and Hospitality
• Human Resources
• Training and Development
• Diversity and Equality
• Information Technology (IT)

We are an open and collaborative Board and are looking for individuals who can enhance what is already a strong team as we move forward with the transformation of the organisation.
The role is a strategic, ‘eyes on, hands off’ commitment which typically involves attending around 12 monthly board meetings per year as well as preparation time and attendance at ad-hoc meetings outside of this. The estimated time commitment is no more 10 hours per month.
There are also roles on sub committees which are included in this time commitment. The two Non-Executive Director roles are voluntary, unpaid positions.
