Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• To implement a training programme in line with Long Term Player Development (LTPD) guidelines
• Ensure high standards of coaching delivery across the group
• Ensuring the Millwall adheres to the FA standards for safeguarding children
• To monitor and evaluate the players progress and development
• Provide one to one performance reports for all players
• To communicate regularly with the First Team Manager regarding the progress of the players and the Development Squad Manager
• To be familiar with the standards required within the Development Team and First Team
• To ensure annual trials are effectively organised.
• To work closely with the General Manager on all relevant issues
• To follow the club’s technical methodology
• To regularly communicate with the Sports Science department
• To instil the club ethos and culture within the development squad
• To be familiar with Safeguarding requirements as outlined in the Safeguarding Policy and comply with its requirements to safeguard and protect the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
• To be aware of the core values upon which Millwall Lionesses operates and to educate the players

Main Job Requirements and Person Specification
• B License – working towards A License
• FA Youth Award Module 1 & 2 and working towards YAM 3
• FA Licensed
• A recognised First Aid Qualification
• Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues including holding a current FA Safeguarding Children Workshop certificate
• A satisfactory self-declaration and an enhanced DBS check

Specific Experience:
• Previous experience with female elite players is preferable
• Experience of managing individuals and teams
• Understanding of the FA Women’s and Girls player pathway
• An understanding and implications of Long Term Player Development
• An understanding of the Women’s Super League

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:
• A dynamic, confident communicator (verbal, written) with the ability to adapt style and approach as and when required
• Attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Possess an excellent work ethic
• Evidence of sound administrative, organisational and prioritisation skills
• Experience of working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
• Excellent role model for young players
• Remain calm under pressure

• Highly self motivated with the ability to motivate others
• Enthusiasm and willingness to be flexible in approach to achieve desired outcomes
