Clawton Primary School
is a rural primary school and has a thriving Pre-School with a strong ethos and caring culture. We have had a successful on-site Pre-School for 12 years which has been Governor run since 2016.

We now have a vacancy for a Pre-School Assistant to join our Early Years team.
We have purpose built premises and have recently invested in upgrading both the indoor and outdoor learning environments, with plans to develop further going forward.
We treat all children as individuals and work hard to promote independence and learning through play in a non-discriminatory and welcoming environment, enabling all children to develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. The setting currently has an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating and was last inspected in November 2015.

We currently operate
Monday – Thursday with sessions 9am – 3pm and take children from the age of 2 years. Our Foundation Stage Teacher oversees the EYFS, including both Pre-School and Reception class which ensures successful transition across the settings.
The successful applicant must hold a full and relevant early years and childcare qualification at minimum Level 2.
This is an exciting time for the School, having now joined the Alumnis Multi Academy Trust. The Trust is an innovative and dynamic group of primary schools that seeks to put children and staff at the heart of the Trust. We enjoy a diverse mix of church and community schools which have a long-standing and successful partnership through the North Devon Teaching School Alliance.
