What we offer
We are seeking an editor-in-chief to manage our team of 18 writers, including four team leaders. This is one of the most important roles in our business, so we are seeking an experienced and detail-orientated individual to help our teams produce copy to dazzle our clients.
This role is right at the heart of our business. Responsibility for the quality of our writers’ output will rest with you. You will also work with the team leaders and the client operations manager to plan work schedules and refine briefing documents on a weekly basis.
Given the importance of this role, we are offering a generous financial package with performance bonuses twice a year. We also offer flexible working and the opportunity to join a motivated and industrious team, who are the engine behind our remarkable growth story.
We are building a company that cares about its employees, its clients and broader society. Salaries are grouped into bands, based on experience. We believe that salaries should be standardised across the board, with no discrimination based on your gender, race, sexuality, or social background.
We offer the opportunity to work from home, or from physical offices at sites around the UK. We provide laptops and mobile phones to assist with remote working.
Our pension scheme is with the National Employment Savings Trust and staff are eligible for the pension scheme from their first day. Every employee is covered by the Rhotic Media Assistance Scheme which offers free access to legal, medical, financial and wel-lbeing professionals, should they need help at any time.
Who we want
We are looking for an experienced editor who takes pride in their work. You will be an individual who thrives in a growing business, who can also bring the best out of people.
You will likely have already worked as a senior editor at a major media business, an agency, or at a well-known financial services company. You must be as comfortable editing technical features as you are at producing research reports.
We are currently scaling up our writing teams, so we are looking for an individual who would be comfortable managing a large squad working across our entire portfolio.
As a signatory to the Social Mobility Pledge, we are not prescriptive about educational background, but we would anticipate that the right candidate would have at least 10 years of industry experience.
That said, we will consider candidates that do not fit this brief entirely, but we ask that those applying from different backgrounds offer convincing reasons why they should be considered. We would also consider a job share for this role.
