Assistant Editor – England – Future Travel Experience

Future Travel Experience (FTE), a B2B online media and events platform focused on improving the end-to-end travel experience, is recruiting for a new Assistant Editor. The role is ideal for a recent graduate and the successful candidate will preferably be a holder of a degree in Journalism or a similar subject. The role will entail interviewing senior industry figures, researching and writing features and news, producing weekly e-newsletters, contributing to conference agenda research and planning, and representing the company at industry events in the UK and overseas.

Job requirements:
Interviewing senior air transport, travel and technology industry figures
Writing features and daily news articles (covering a variety of topics from airport terminal design and wearable technology, to in-flight Wi-Fi and aircraft cabin design
Producing e-newsletters
Proofing/sub-editing content
Contributing to editorial planning meetings
Contributing to conference agenda research and planning
Building FTE’s presence across various social media channels
Representing Future Travel Experience at conferences/exhibitions around the world, including FTE’s own events in Europe, Asia and North America

When required, contributing to PPS Publications’ portfolio of other air transport-related titles (print and online)

Useful experience/skills:
Video journalism/editing capabilities
Experience of working with a CMS
