Assistant Coach – Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby

Job Description
Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby (GBWR) is seeking an exceptional individual to join its World Class Performance Programme as the GBWR Assistant Coach.

GBWR is targeting medal success at the Tokyo Paralympic Games and is committed to being the world’s leading wheelchair rugby nation by 2024. These are more than just words – we have already created a strong performance system and have more talented athletes than has ever been the case in GB. The sport continues to see unprecedented levels of interest at grassroots level, and we have seen the number of teams grow from 7 to 22 over the last 4 years with more still waiting to gain GBWR recognition.

The foundations are now in place to achieve podium success and we are interested to hear from experienced coaches, who share our ambition, passion for the sport and our core values. The successful applicant will support the GB Head Coach in delivering coaching services against our What It Takes To Win Performance Strategy and whilst that experience may come from a coaching or playing background in Paralympic wheelchair rugby, we would also welcome interest from other team sport coaches, particularly wheelchair basketball or wheelchair rugby league.
