An exciting opportunity to join our retail purchasing team. Based at the Kings Road flagship store, our retail purchasing team handle the purchasing for both our Kings Road flagship store and our store in Marylebone High Street. We are looking for a dynamic, purchasing coordinator to join the team. The successful candidate will handle retail furniture orders – both bespoke customer orders and display orders – and place the orders with suppliers for our carefully selected rug and tabletop range. The role involves liaising with the sales team and suppliers on bespoke customer orders; coordinating the furniture display packages for our store displays with the display team; and liaising with the head of retail and the retail purchasing manager on orders for product for the stores.
Suitable candidates will have previous purchasing experience (experience in home accessories would be a plus and ideally previous experience in purchasing furniture). Candidates must be team players and comfortable working in a fast paced environment. A keen interest in contemporary design and furniture is a bonus. Knowledge of the furniture ranges from B&B Italia, MDF Italia, Knoll, Cappellini, Tolix, Fermob, Vitra, Magis and e15 would be applicable. Proficiency in Excel beneficial.
The candidate will also coordinate the retail presence online, liaising with our e-commerce team on content for the store pages and retail email pods.
Please note that previous purchasing experience is required for this role. We are happy to consider candidates with previous purchasing experience of 12 months or more. Ideally we are looking for a solid purchasing background to bring a solid level of experience to the team. Prospective salary will reflect the level of experience in this area.
