Project Manager – Bibliotheque Design – London

About us:

Bibliotheque, an award winning design consultancy based in Clerkenwell is looking for an enthusiastic project manager to join our team. We work across many areas of design, from branding to packaging, spatial to digital and retail to publishing. This experience has enabled us to provide fully integrated solutions across numerous business sectors.

The role:

Although a management role, we see this position as integral to the creative process. The ideal candidate should feel at ease in a creative environment, and have a keen interest in the design industry and the broader cultural landscape around us. Be that through contemporary art, fashion, architecture, product, technology or retail experiences. A specific graphic design background is not essential.

The applicant should be an enthusiastic advocate for creativity, our process and working to the very highest of standards. The skills of the candidate in managing a creative environment, underpins all the work in the studio, and helps crystallise many briefs, client relationships and ensures the smooth running of many projects.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

managing multiple projects with clients ranging from world known brands to exciting new start ups
creating and maintaining long standing client relationships by continuously streamlining internal processes while delivering excellent results
receive, research and help to interrogate incoming briefs, approaching each one with flexibility and a can do attitude
ensuring studio projects are delivered on time and on budget through careful scheduling and budget tracking
liaising with suppliers
assisting directors and designers with day to day tasks, proactively finding ways to support the team as a whole
studio upkeep and administrative tasks
invoicing

Key skills:

experience of managing client relationships, comfortable interacting with a broad range of clients and suppliers
excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
a meticulous planner with excellent organisational skills, and an eye for detail and ability to prioritise
self motivated multi-tasker with a natural flare for problem solving
excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, ability to review and improve current processes
ability to negotiate
basic to moderate understanding of InDesign
some understanding of research techniques
passion/interest for design, naturally curious for the industry and an understanding of the design process
a super friendly and sociable personality is key!

Level of experience: one-two years in a similar role
Contract type: full-time
