Fundraising Events Manager – Manchester – City in the Community Foundation

Job Description
City in the Community Foundation are recruiting a Fundraising Events Manager to join the team in Manchester.

The Fundraising Events Manager will be responsible for the planning and management of all CITC fundraising events. The post holder will be expected to generate new ideas and opportunities to raise funds for CITC and develop a strategy to ensure the successful achievement of fundraising targets.

Key responsibilities include:
• Taking full responsibility for the running of all CITC fundraising events and developing a coherent delivery plan for each event
• Securing sponsorship for events from commercial partners and major donors
• Working with partners who run external events raising money for CITC to maximise fundraising opportunities
• Developing new ideas to increase fundraising opportunities and developing a strategy of how to deliver this
• Responsibility for the event finances including all incomes, expenditures and achievement of financial targets

We are looking for candidates who have a good knowledge of event, project and budget management with a good understanding of CITC themes and programmes to compliment this. Candidates must have excellent time management and prioritisation skills, along with the ability to work independently and use their own initiative. It is essential that candidates have proven experience in planning and managing events, preferably fundraising events within the sport or community sector and have a track record in securing commercial sponsors for events. Finally, we are looking for flexible, positive, resilient and determined candidates.
