Deputy Editor (B2B) – Atwood Tate – London

Our client, one of Europe’s leading B2B pharmaceutical publishers, is looking for a digital savvy Deputy Editor with print skills to join their small team in Central London. This position would suit an existing deputy or an experienced editorial assistant on a B2B title who wants an exciting challenge and more responsibility in a dynamic, busy publishing company.

Key Duties:

Oversee content on the website, manage the daily e-newsletter and work on the monthly print newspaper
Support the Editor in planning, commissioning, editing and writing content for web and print
Interview and report in the industry
Help deliver the print newspaper to deadline
Maintain the brand’s strong social media presence and monitor web analytics

Experience / skills required:

A strong news sense is essential as well as the ability to quickly develop an understanding of key issues and trends within the global and complex pharma industry
Experience in digital publishing, online content management and e-newsletters as well as print publications
The ability to source and write insightful content and maintain the high quality and editorial integrity of the products
The ability to build up good contacts within the industry
The ability to work with the sales team to maximise commercial tie-ins
Knowledge of healthcare/life sciences is beneficial but not essential
