George Green’s School was founded 184 years ago by George Green, a local businessman and philanthropist, with a determination to ensure as far as possible that every local child should have access to a high-quality secondary education.
Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We therefore take all steps to ensure that, as far as possible, any child that wants to come to our school will be able to do so, regardless of any special need, disability or any other factor. The educational offer is both sufficiently broad and rigorous to fully meet the individual needs of EVERY pupil, including the most academically able.
Our commitment to being an inclusive school remains absolute and non-negotiable. However, in every other respect, we are a school that has not only become accustomed to change but that also looks ahead, plans for and embraces change. We expect and look forward to candidates who want an active role in taking the school forward at this exciting time.
To apply, please download an application form from: www.georgegreens.com

George Green’s School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff, external agencies and volunteers to share this commitment. Any appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS Check.
