Sales Assistant – Urban Front – Chesham

Urban Front are designers and manufacturers of high-end contemporary front, internal and garage doors made in the UK and sold all over the world. We are a small team based in Chesham, Buckinghamshire where all the doors are made (at the end of Metropolitan Line and we are five minutes walk from station).

The role of sales assistant will be managed by the current sales manager and general manager and requires an efficient and organised individual looking to work in a fast paced and fun environment where design and creativity meet regularly.

Sales administration role:

general office duties including answering the phone, filing, scanning, sending brochures, post etc
organising all deliveries to and from clients worldwide
taking and setting up of orders of doors, keys etc
taking and chasing payments from clients/customers
organising refreshment for visiting clients/customers

Sales role:

providing support to the sales manager with quotes and customer service and following up with those clients/ customers you are responsible for
maintaining a high level of customer service at all times
responding to and dealing with enquiries relating to existing and past orders
sending out and sorting out samples
occasionally meeting customers in the showroom and talking through their requirements

Due to the nature of the work in a small team, everyone works together when it’s busy and there may be times when you may be asked to do other duties or help out within other teams if needed. There is the possibility to get involved in marketing and product design too.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties as you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

experience of one year or more in a customer service or sales role, ideally in a design or product manufacturing environment
a good understanding of measurements and space as a lot of our work involves speaking to architects, designers and builders (training will be provided)
good computer literacy
a strong and confident communicator both verbally and in written format
the ability to multitask
a self-starter, with a genuinely enthusiastic attitude to work and new ideas
good administrative and organisational skills
