Grading Assistant – British Dressage

Job Description
British Dressage (BD) is the governing body for the Olympic sport of dressage and a member of the British Equestrian Federation. We aim to develop and promote dressage competition in the UK at all levels, to continually improve our sport. As part of our ongoing development, an exciting new opportunity has arisen to join the head office team as Grading Assistant.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with excellent administrative and customer service skills to join us, working in our busy results and grading department. This will be a full time role based at our offices in Meriden, West Midlands.

Working as part of the Sport Operations Team, this is a data input and administration role.

We’re looking for a ‘can do’ person with:
• Excellent administrative skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good attention to detail
• Self-motivation and ability to work to deadlines
• Team working
• Computer literate particularly in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Access
• A general knowledge of the equine industry

The role involves:
• Collate results received in the BD office and maintain BD’s results log
• Enter the results from BD Competitions on to the BD database
• Liaise with BD show organisers regarding results based queries
• Assist the Grading Officer in checking qualifications for Championship and Area Festival entries
• Assist members of BD with queries relating to grading of horses and riders and qualification for different competition series
• Collate and distribute qualification packs for Championships and Area Festivals
