Games Services Assistant – British Olympic Association

Job Description
The Games Services Assistant will support across the Games Services Team in all administration aspects of Operational Planning to enable the successful participation of Team GB at Olympic and Olympic Winter Games, European Games, Youth Olympic Festivals and Youth Olympic Games.

Key Responsibilities-
Support in the process of entering Team GB into competition to include:
• Updating of the BOA Games Services database
• Completion and return of key documentation e.g. Application for Accreditation Forms, Entry by Number Forms and Sport Entry Forms
• Team Selection and Pre-DRM (Delegation Registration Meeting) and DRM processing
• To support the Games Services team in delivery of the accommodation strategy and ‘home from home’ concept for Team GB sites.
• Assist the Games Services Coordinators with processing all flight requirements for Team GB into pre-Games preparation camps and onwards to the Olympic competition environment, together with Recces.
• Support in the administration of all logistical planning including ground transportation and freight requirements.
• Assist with administration of Team Leader communications.
• Assist with facilitation of Games Services operations meetings with NGBs in conjunction with Sports Engagement Managers
• Updating and maintaining integrated operational planning tools and assisting with team assembly, kitting out and preparation of key information
• The Games Services Assistant may be required to attend the Olympic Summer and Olympic Winter Games, European Games, Youth Olympic Festivals/Games where appropriate.

• Customers/stakeholders: Organising Committees of the Olympic Games (OCOG’s); National Governing Bodies (NGB’s) of Sport – Performance Directors and Team Leaders

Desirable Skills and Experience:
• Degree level educated
• Experience working in a sporting environment
